Revenue Accountant, 16 month contract

Position Overview:   
         
Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will fill the temporary full-time position of Revenue Accountant at our location in Mississauga, ON.  This position is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive property revenue accounting and administrative support. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain lease information in CTI, including the set-up of new lease and licensing agreements and maintenance of existing leases and lease options table;
• Review daily deposits made by the Property Administrators and ensure proper posting and cash application to the tenant’s account;
• Reconcile tenant’s account and prepare monthly statement of accounts;
• Process and post rent rolls and miscellaneous invoices;
• Monthly processing of EFT;
• Electronically prepare rental schedules for new tenants; 
• Review and analyze revenue variance and prepare monthly report;
• Prepare a detailed monthly arrears report with the assistance of the Property Administrator;
• Review and reconcile installment payments on a monthly basis;
• Prepare year end final invoices to tenants;
• Process annual rent estimates and electronically prepare tenant rental schedule;
• Assist with review of leases in the due diligence process;
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements: 

• Post-secondary education in accounting would be preferred
• Minimum two years experience in similar industry considered an asset
• Working towards a professional accounting program (i.e. CGA, CMA, CA) is an asset
• Strong computer skills, knowledge of CTI is preferable
• Ability to multi-task with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
