Reporting to the Vice President, Portfolio Management, the successful candidate will fill the full time position of Portfolio Analyst and will contribute to the day-to-day management, direction, strategy and analysis of a national real estate portfolio.

If this is your new role, you will:


• Support the portfolio management team on a wide variety of portfolio initiatives including research, reporting, investments, developments, preparation of presentations and general management
• Manage appraisal process with regional asset management teams; analyze and present overall market value trends by region and asset class
• Coordinate portfolio reporting critical to client requirements which include annual meetings, performance trends, strategy sessions and business plans
• Complete ad-hoc financial modeling on portfolio returns, attribution studies, sensitivity analysis, operating budgets and leasing activity to support decisions
• Amalgamate and review cash flow and valuation models for portfolio budgets, go-forward cash flow projections, allocation studies, etc
• Work with research department to write and present analysis on regional market trends, valuation parameters, macro-economic influences and debt and equity markets
• Review documentation for lease deals, building capital, acquisitions, dispositions and developments
• Play an integral role in preparing presentations and maintaining and updating presentation slides database
• Communicate on a regular basis with the asset management team, including giving update presentations
• Other duties as required

We want to hear from you if you have: 

• Relevant post secondary education (i.e., Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Accounting); 
• At least 2 years analytical experience; Real estate industry will be considered an asset
• Knowledge of valuation and appraisal methods
• Superior analytical and quantitative skills (financial and data analysis)
• Outstanding written and oral communication abilities
