Operations Supervisor, Contract Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Services, this candidate will fill the full-time contract position of Operations Supervisor in our 33 Yonge LEED® EB: O&M Gold Certified location in Toronto, ON.  This contract will last approximately 5 months.   

This role will provide mentorship, guidance and motivation to building operations staff and will ensure the efficient, effective and productive management of the facility.  

If this is your new role, you will: 

• Supervise the operation of the maintenance management system.
• Supervise, mentor and manage building staff; including scheduling, performance management
• Review and monitor building functions and provide direction to staff and trades
• Maintain site specific WHMIS and health and safety programs
• Maintain procedures for the maintenance, operation and repairs of the building and equipment
• Oversee tenant improvement work and obtain proposals and pricing for work
• Assist the Property Manager in preparing monthly property reports and annual operating budgets
• Visit major tenants on a regular basis; maintaining excellent relationships
• Review all completed service requests to ensure proper delivery of services
• Assist Property Manager in completing capital projects on time and on budget
• Assist Property Manager in ensuring the property is compliant in respect to all RiskCheck programs
• Ensure the building staff remain current and aware in regard to policies and procedures
• Review all work permits daily to ensure awareness of all contractor work occurring in the building
• Be an active participant in possible redevelopment projects as needed 
We want to hear from you if you have:

• Post secondary education; relevant designation will be considered an asset
• Affinity for fostering learning and mentoring staff
• At least five years relevant experience in building operations role; at least 2 in leadership capacity 
• Previous experience with Angus anywhere PM model will be considered an asset 
• Knowledge of building operations record keeping such as operating logs, energy management and building services reports.
