Position Overview:

Reporting to the Controller, Real Estate, Downtown, the successful candidate will fill the permanent full-time position of Revenue Accountant.  Working in a team based environment, the Revenue Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of the property and lease databases as well as tenant billings.  The Revenue Accountant’s portfolio encompasses the city central properties located in the Prairie Region, which extends from Alberta east to Manitoba and includes assets in Texas. 

Responsibilities:

The Revenue Accountant will complete the following duties in accordance with GWL Realty Advisors’ Policies and Procedures:

• CTI Lease administration, including building area maintenance, lease set-up, recharge processing, and maintenance of the percentage rent and options tables
• Rent roll processing
• General invoicing; including tenant charge-backs
• Preparation of area change letters
• Completion of “Assessment Request for Information” reports as requested by the municipalities
• Secondary support for Vendor and WCB Clearance databases
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Lease/contract review, administration, and billing experience required
• Accounting background/post-secondary education beneficial
• Property management experience beneficial
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong computer skills, experience working with the CTI Property Management System or in an AS400 environment preferable
• Detail oriented;
• Managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines;
• Appreciation and willingness to work within a standard set of parameters;
• Good oral and written skills; energetic
• Good problem-solving ability;
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
