Position Overview:
Reporting to Director, Leasing in Vancouver, the successful candidate will fill the permanent full time position of Leasing Manager at 650 West Georgia Street, Vancouver. The primary responsibility of this role is to execute the leasing of space within a portfolio to consist primarily of suburban office, industrial and retail properties.  Through market knowledge, strong marketing and negotiating skills and close relationships with existing tenants and the brokerage community, this position creates value by minimizing vacancy, the cost of tenant turnover and maximizing rental income. The Senior Leasing Manager is the front line person responsible for establishing and validating the leasing program for specified properties.

Responsibilities:
• Establish strong relationships and maintain ongoing contact with brokers, tenants and prospective tenants
• Negotiate financial and legal terms of leasing Proposals, Offers and Leases to achieve optimum value
• Strategically plan the tenant mix in each building
• Coordinate communication between departments, i.e.: asset management, construction, development, property management and accounting
• Manage the transition from leasing prospect to tenant, by remaining involved as deal is passed on to Property Management
• Strategically plan broker functions for the purpose of marketing space and maintaining business relationships
• Market existing space and new development portfolio through tours and presentations
• Manage renewals, expansions, early terminations of existing tenant base
• Prepare lease assumptions for annual Realm Budget and quarterly FYEs
• Manage all marketing material to the brokerage community for specified properties
• Manage the preparation of all required leasing reports for properties
• Provide market information as required
• Other duties as required

Requirements:
• Must hold a valid real estate license for British Columbia
• Education acquired through the completion of a University degree, preferably a Bachelor of Commerce
• Minimum of five years experience in the commercial real estate
• Self-starter with high degree of initiative, creativity and flexibility
• Exceptional communication, selling, negotiating and organizational skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a demanding environment
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of lease documentation (Lease Agreements, Sub-Lease Agreements, Indemnity Agreements, etc.)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
