In 2018, a new amenity-rich rental apartment building at the corner of Bay & Gerrard in downtown Toronto opened its doors to its very first residents. The building, which had been in the works for nearly seven years, unveiled its brand name – The Livmore – in 2017. Now, over 1,000 people call The Livmore Bay & Gerrard home. In 2020, a second Livmore building in Toronto was opened to residents, this time in the High Park neighbourhood.
What does it mean to ‘live more’?
The Livmore brand was built on the premise that you can do more in life with the flexibility of a mortgage-free lifestyle. It’s about the security of tenure offered through renting. It’s about being centrally located next to amenities like transit, shopping, and restaurants with access to in-house best-in-class facilities.
A reflection of their communities
The interior of the Livmore Bay & Gerrard reflects the hustle and bustle that comes with living in the heart of downtown. The building is equipped with a games room, a theatre room, a dog spa and outdoor dog area. It also features an outdoor terrace, a party room, and a two-storey sky lounge with sweeping views of the Toronto skyline.
The Livmore High Park is located right across from Toronto’s largest public park. Reflecting a more laid-back atmosphere, the building features a music room, a kid’s room, and a hobby studio. It also has an indoor pool, a zen lounge, and a complete fitness centre.
Keeping innovation top of mind
We continue to look south of the border for innovation in new purpose-built rental developments, traveling to Seattle, Chicago and Washington D.C. to tour their newest projects. From those trips, we have brought innovations like the dog run, greater access to the retail amenities within the building, and an increased use of technology to enhance the rental experience.
What’s next for The Livmore?
A second tower at The Livmore High Park started leasing in February 2021, welcoming our first move ins in March 2021. This new tower brings an additional 263 suites to the community.
Currently under construction, our newest project at 455 Rene-Levesque will bring The Livmore brand to downtown Montreal. Leasing is expected to begin in summer 2022 with first occupancy that fall.
The team is looking at other opportunities to expand the brand into different communities all while delivering on their promise of allowing residents to do more by living in well-managed, amenity rich, and centrally located areas.
